Day 01: Arrival and Addis Ababa City Tour

Enat Ethiopia Tours welcomes guests at Bole International Airport regardless of arrival time. For morning arrivals, begin your city tour after hotel check-in. Visit Trinity Cathedral, the resting place of Emperor Haile Selassie, and explore the Ethnographic Museum. Drive to Entoto Hills for panoramic views and visit Maryam Church. Stop at Sheromeda cloth market and explore Mercato or Sholla Market. Overnight: Hotel – Addis Ababa (B,LD)

Day 02: Addis Ababa – Awassa (Drive)

Depart south via Butajira, visiting three key archeological sites: Tiya (UNESCO stelae field), Adadi Maryam (rock-hewn church), and Melka Kunture (prehistoric tool site). Arrive in Awassa for overnight. Overnight: Hotel – Awassa

Day 03: Awassa Fish Market – Dorze Village – Arba Minch

Visit the vibrant fish market on Lake Awassa. Drive to Dorze village in the highlands above Arba Minch. Explore Dorze culture, weaving traditions, and beehive-shaped huts. If it’s market day (Monday/Thursday in Dorze, Tuesday/Saturday in Chencha), enjoy the local market. Overnight: Dorze hut or Hotel – Arba Minch

Day 04: Arba Minch – Turmi via Konso

Take a morning boat trip on Lake Chamo to see crocodiles and hippos. Drive to Turmi via Weyto (Tsemai tribe) and Erbore village. If Saturday, visit local markets. Arrive in Turmi, home of the Hamer tribe. In the evening, witness the Evangadi dance. Overnight: Lodge – Turmi

Day 05: Day Trip to Omorate

Cross the Omo River by local boat to visit the Dassenech tribe. Return to Turmi for Hamer village visit and, if lucky, witness the Bull Jumping ceremony. Monday is market day in Turmi. Overnight: Lodge – Turmi

Day 06: Turmi – Dimeka – Jinka

Drive to Jinka via Dimeka and Key Afar. If Tuesday or Saturday, visit Dimeka market, a vibrant hub for Hamer, Benna, and Karo tribes. Continue to Jinka. Overnight: Lodge – Jinka

Day 07: Jinka – Mago National Park – Mursi Village

Drive through Mago National Park to visit the Mursi tribe, known for lip and ear plates. Return to Jinka and visit the South Omo Museum or hike to an Ari village. Overnight: Lodge – Jinka

Day 08: Jinka – Konso – Arba Minch

Drive to Arba Minch via Key Afar and Konso. If Thursday, visit Key Afar market (Benna and Tsemai tribes). In Konso, explore the cultural museum and see waka statues and terraced agriculture. Continue to Arba Minch. Overnight: Lodge – Arba Minch

Day 09: Arba Minch – Addis Ababa (Drive)

Depart early for a full-day drive to Addis Ababa. Optional stops at Tiya, Adadi Maryam, or Melka Kunture depending on time. Overnight: Not included – End of Tour
